Astro Adventures Summer Camp 2026

Campers personalities were revealed as they created their flight crew, designed space ships, created their galaxy (complete with LED circuits to light up planets, ships, stars, or sun). Some Astro Adventures focused on space exploration. Others focused on Scientific Discovery. Others were more “BOOM focused”.

After practicing drawing a variety of human poses with human proportions, campers drew a human captain. The rest of their crews were interspecies- with members ranging from cyber enhanced to humanoid to space animal to robotic. Space ships ranged from small shuttles to full sized life sustaining ships.

Spacecraft were added to campers Galaxy Posters which they created using Exploding Color Rockets and drawing oil pastel 3D planets.

After experimenting with batteries, alligator clips. and LED Diode lights, campers made purple conductor playdough and blue insulator playdough. They then created aluminum foil conductive tape. Using these they built playdough spacecraft with circuits to illuminate lights.

As camp wrapped up campers pulled all their drawings together into Mission Flight Folders, often top secret with tricks to keep spying eyes away from top secret information.
