Exploring Art

Exploring Art

For Kindergarten-3rd Graders*

Two sections available: Mondays 2:15-3:15pm OR Thursdays 5:00-6:00pm

We begin each class by discussing artwork and artists. Artwork is drawn from across time and cultures and includes works seen in museums, created by local artists, as book illustrations and more. We then create projects inspired by the themes, techniques, medium, or another aspect of the artwork.

We explore a range of 2D and 3D art media including drawing, painting, collage, printing, building, and clay. We work on some projects over several weeks.
